What a piece of work is a man, how noble in reason, how infinite in faculties, in
form and moving, how express and admirable in action, how like an angel in apprehension,
how like a god! the beauty of the world; the paragon of animals; and yet to me what
is this quintessence of dust? Man delights not me - nor women neither, though by
your smiling you seem to say so.
Om mani padme hum
The jewel in the lotus of the heart
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare
O lord, take away all my sorrows, pains and shortcomings and
give me bliss and joy
The litany against fear is an incantation used by the Bene Gesserit throughout the series to focus their minds and calm themselves in times of peril. The litany is as follows:
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
